Ken Jeong born Kendrick Kang-Joh Jeong is an American comedian, actor, and physician. He was born on July 13, 1969, in Detroit, Michigan, USA. Ken is best known for his roles in comedic films and television shows. He gained widespread recognition for his role as Leslie Chow in The Hangover film series.

Ken was raised in Greensboro, North Carolina, in a Korean-American family. Ken parents are South Korean immigrants. His father, D.K. Jeong, was a professor at North Carolina A&T State University, and his mother, Young Jeong, was a piano teacher.

Ken attended Walter Hines Page High School in Greensboro. He later attended Duke University, where he earned his undergraduate degree in 1990. After Duke, he obtained his medical degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine in 1995. Ken completed his residency in internal medicine at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, and became a licensed physician.

Despite his medical training, Ken had a passion for comedy and acting. While practicing medicine, he began performing stand-up comedy. Ken unique background as a physician-turned-comedian has contributed to his distinctive comedic style, and he has become a well-known and beloved figure in the entertainment industry.

In addition to The Hangover, Ken has appeared in other notable films such as Knocked Up and Crazy Rich Asians. He also played the lead role in the television sitcom Dr. Ken.
